Property Insurance

Protection for the Places You Call Home

Your home and property represent one of your most important investments. Property insurance helps protect not only the structure itself, but also your belongings, liability exposure, and financial security if the unexpected happens.

At Valley West Financial Insurance Services, we help homeowners, renters, and property owners find coverage that fits their specific situation and risk level.

Property Insurance Options

Homeowners Insurance
Protects your home, personal belongings, and liability exposure from events such as fire, theft, storms, and other covered losses.

Renters Insurance
Even if you don’t own your home, your belongings still need protection. Renters insurance covers personal property, liability, and additional living expenses if your rental becomes uninhabitable.

Condo Insurance
Designed for condominium owners, this coverage protects your personal property, interior structures, and liability beyond what your HOA’s master policy provides.

Landlord Insurance
Coverage for rental property owners that protects the structure, liability exposure, and potential loss of rental income due to covered events.

Short-Term Vacation Rental Insurance (VRBO & Airbnb)
Specialized protection for property owners renting homes or vacation properties on short-term platforms.

Personal Umbrella Insurance
Provides additional liability coverage beyond your home or auto policies to help protect your assets from large claims or lawsuits.

Earthquake Insurance
Standard homeowners policies typically do not cover earthquake damage. This coverage helps protect your home and belongings if seismic activity causes damage.

Flood Insurance
Flood damage is not covered under most homeowners policies. Flood insurance provides protection against water damage caused by rising water or flooding events.

Coverage That Fits Your Property

Property insurance needs can vary significantly depending on your home, location, and how the property is used. Our team will help you review your options and select coverage that provides the right level of protection.

A bundled policy that combines general liability and property insurance into one convenient and cost-effective package for many small to mid-sized businesses.

Helps protect your business from claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and certain legal liabilities.

Commercial Property Insurance
Coverage for your building, equipment, inventory, and other business property against covered losses such as fire, theft, or vandalism.

Commercial Auto Insurance
Protects vehicles used for business purposes and helps cover liability and damage from accidents involving company vehicles.

Glossary and Definitions

Homeowners insurance is made up of coverages that may help pay to repair or replace your home and belongings if they are damaged by certain perils, such as fire, lightning, smoke, wind, vandalism or theft to name a few. The policy also includes personal liability which helps protect your assets and covers defense costs in the event of a lawsuit.  It would help cover costs if you accidentally damage another person’s property or if you are responsible for a visitor who is injured at your home.  Homeowners coverage is required by your lender and you are able to choose the company who is right for you.

Renters insurance protects your personal property in a rented apartment, condo or home from unexpected circumstances such as theft, a fire and usually sewer backup damage to name a few. It can also help protect you from liability if someone is injured on your property.

Many renters are under the impression that their landlord’s insurance policy will cover their belongings and unfortunately, that is not generally the case.

Condominium-owners insurance – it’s important to understand what is covered by your condo association’s insurance policy, sometimes referred to as the master policy. Your association’s policy may help cover a portion of the structure of your own condo unit, including the walls and floors. Some master policies might provide coverage for your unit’s original construction and fixtures, while others might cover up to bare walls.  Once you determine what is provided by your association policy, we can assist you in filling in the gaps.

In addition to inside walls coverage, unit-owners policies will provide coverage for your personal property and liability coverage.
